If you are interested in exploring your bankruptcy options, I will offer you an initial forty-five minute office conference to discuss your bankruptcy options. After the initial conference we will provide you with a written contract outlining the services we will provide on your behalf and their final cost.
The type of bankruptcy that will be best for you can only be determined after an office conference. At that conference we will review your debts and finances and explain, in a general way, the type of relief bankruptcy may offer. Not all bankruptcy situations are the same and the cost of service varies upon the complexity of the case. Simple Chapter 7 cases start at $1,500.00 which includes the cost of the filing fee that must be paid to the Court ($299.00) and the fees for obtaining credit reports. It does not include the costs for tax transcripts and mandatory credit counseling fees paid to outside agencies required by the new law. THE FEES FOR FILING A BANKRUPTCY MAY NOT BE PAID BY USE OF A CREDIT CARD.
If you would like an initial conference, before you call us please, download, and complete, copies of all five of the following documents. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer.
Additional documents you may find useful after we meet:
I apologize for the paperwork you must prepare. The new Bankruptcy law is highly technical and providing you with even general background information on bankruptcy can only be done with a detailed understanding of your financial situation.
When you have completed these materials, please call our office at 508-222-0700 or e-mail us to set up an initial conference.
Our office is a "debt relief agency" as defined at 11 U.S.C. Sec. 101(12A)
